![]() ![]() The Kong and Jaws books have one lost film in common in the form of King Kong vs. Most of the chapters were Appendix entries for The Lost Films that just got too big and detailed so I decided it would be better to make that its own book. Was there difficulty in avoiding repetition? Writing Japanese Monsters, as well as your Kong and Jaws books, cover similar topics and ground, yet they don’t “echo” each other. I had forgotten that some people drew parallels between the ‘14 Godzilla and Redmoon! I have a hunch that one’s just coincidence, but you never know. ![]() How many “connections” between existing films and unmade projects do you tend to notice? People have pointed out how Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla (2014) compares to Godzilla vs. Plus lots of other people have already written on it. I definitely prefer to write on the ones without as much information out there, so yeah, writing about something like the DeBont Godzilla is a little less fun because it could be a book unto itself.
